When Chateau Jewelers was founded in 1966 we placed a gracefully shaped “C” at the beginning of our name. Over the years, it has come to stand for the quality, service, and value we give our customers, and they have responded with their loyalty and trust. Now, we have bonded these elements by joining two hand carved “C”’s to create our hallmark piece: the Chateau “Dancing Hearts.” You will find this heartmark stamped with pride on all of our work.
A Legacy of Family, Craftsmanship & Love
A Family Business Built to Last
Since 1966, Chateau Jewelers has been proudly family-owned and family-run. Founded by Dave and Mina Salvit, Chateau began with a simple belief: exceptional jewelry should be made with care, craftsmanship, and love—and every customer should be treated like family.
For generations, that philosophy has remained at the heart of everything we do.
One of the things that makes Chateau Jewelers truly unique is our on-site jewelry manufacturing facility. Having our own factory allows us to oversee the design and production process from beginning to end, giving us an exceptional level of control over craftsmanship, quality, and attention to detail. From custom jewelry and one-of-a-kind designs to remodeling and transforming existing pieces, our work is handled with the care and precision that has defined Chateau for generations.
Our philosophy is captured perfectly in our motto:
“Made with love to give with love.”
When you walk through the doors of Chateau Jewelers, you're not simply shopping at a jewelry store. You're becoming part of the Chateau family. We take the time to understand our customers, their stories, and the meaning behind the jewelry they choose. Whether you're celebrating an engagement, anniversary, milestone, or simply looking for something special, we're honored to be part of life's most meaningful moments.
Giving Back to the Community
Being a family business also means being part of a community.
Chateau Jewelers is committed to making a positive difference beyond our doors. A portion of our sales is donated to local charitable organizations that support children in our community, allowing our customers' purchases to help create opportunities and brighter futures for others.
For more than six decades, Chateau Jewelers has remained committed to family, craftsmanship, quality, and community.
From Dave and Mina's original vision in 1966 to the generations that have followed, our story continues to grow—and we're proud to have our customers be a part of it.
Chateau Jewelers — Made with love to give with love.
Meet Gary Salvit —
The Jewelry Architect Behind Chateau Jewelers
For more than 40 years, Gary Salvit has dedicated his life to the art and craftsmanship of fine jewelry. As the son of Chateau Jewelers founders Dave and Mina Salvit, Gary grew up surrounded by jewelry, design, and the family tradition of helping customers create pieces that hold special meaning.
But Gary's passion for jewelry is rooted in something even deeper: mathematics, architecture, and design.
From an early age, Gary was fascinated by mathematics and architecture. His love for problem-solving and design eventually led him to complete PhD coursework in Mathematical Economics. Along the way, he realized that his true passion was architecture—the ability to take an idea and transform it into something beautiful, functional, and uniquely personal.
Gary found a way to combine that passion with his family's jewelry legacy. He began approaching jewelry the way an architect approaches a building: with precision, creativity, balance, and meticulous attention to detail. And that's how the idea of the “Jewelry Architect” was born.
Where Design Meets Craftsmanship
Today, Gary brings his unique background and creative vision to every piece created at Chateau Jewelers. Whether designing a custom engagement ring, one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry, wedding band, or remodeling an existing family heirloom, Gary works closely with each customer to understand their vision and bring it to life.
His approach is highly personal. Rather than simply selecting a piece from a showcase, customers have the opportunity to collaborate with Gary to create jewelry that reflects their individual style, story, and personality.
Gary's meticulous eye for detail and commitment to quality extends to everything he does—from designing and producing custom jewelry to helping customers select, remodel, or restore their most meaningful pieces.
Your Vision. His Expertise. One Extraordinary Piece.
What makes Chateau Jewelers different is the combination of generations of jewelry expertise with Gary's architectural approach to design.
Every customer has a unique story, and Gary believes their jewelry should be just as unique. His goal is simple: to create exceptional jewelry while making sure every customer feels heard, valued, and completely satisfied with the finished piece.
Whether you're looking for a custom engagement ring, a one-of-a-kind piece, a jewelry redesign, or a meaningful way to transform an existing heirloom, Gary and the team at Chateau Jewelers are here to turn your ideas into something extraordinary.
